FUE is one of the methods of hair transplantation. It involves harvesting so-called units, that is individual hair follicles which contain 1-4 hairs. Special small puncture needles are used for this procedure. Hair for the transplant is taken from the sides and back of the head.
It is related to the fact that these areas have dominant hair, which will never fall out. Depending on the thickness of the patient’s hair in the donor area, up to 6000 hairs are transplanted during one procedure at the clinic with which we cooperate closely.
The basic difference between FUE and the traditional STIP transplantation method consists in obtaining individual follicular complexes without using a scalpel. As opposed to the STRIP method, which involves cutting out quite a big patch of skin and leaving a visible scar, the FUE method is not invasive and leaves no scars.
A huge advantage of this procedure is the ability to quickly go back to living your normal life. The procedure is painless and the donor and receiving areas are under local anaesthesia.
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is an autologous platelet concentrate in a small amount of plasma. At the clinic that we cooperate with, PRP follows the FUE hair transplant to accelerate tissue healing, which in this case starts during the procedure.
PRP also makes it possible to keep hair follicles alive for a long time, which improves their adaptation at the transplant site.
Using PRP during a hair transplant makes hair resistant to the impact of external conditions and allows hair follicles to intake oxygen and supply the growth hormone to the transplant site.
PRP is used during the procedure because of the fact that platelets participate in the process of wound healing. They release seven basic growth factors responsible for healing processes: three isomers, PDGF (αα,ββ,αβ), TGF-β1, TGF-β2, VEGF and EGF. In PRP, there are also proteins responsible for cell adhesion.
Hair Transplantation with Laser Hair Therapy, is the application of low-level laser therapy also known as cold laser with hair transplantation. The main objective of applying low level laser therapy after hair transplantation is to speed up the healing time, to help reduce side effects such as redness, swelling as well as pain within the operated area and to promote the fastest hair growth possible. As this laser application which is performed after a hair transplant procedure allows to penetrate without heat, it has no side effects such as a burning sensation.
In individuals who have undergone hair transplantation, laser therapy helps reduce the recovery time and also provides good pain control, which is linked to better wound healing.
For treating hair loss conditions, we use a different low level laser device. When it is applied on the scalp twice a week for 20 minutes and twice a week, primarily the progression of hair loss stops and with long-term use it is found to have a promoting effect on hair growth. After a certain improvement level is reached, it is possible to sustain the improvements obtained by reducing to one session carried out in a week.
Many men have hair not only on their scalps, but also on their faces. A moustache and beard are regarded as the attributes of manliness, which means that their lack may lead to insecurities. As years go by, facial hair may change, become thinner and less visible.
In order to restore a man’s self-confidence, a beard and moustache can be transplanted using the FUE method. The effect is supposed to be natural, but it must also lead to a visible and satisfying improvement in the patient’s appearance.
Similarly to a hair transplant, a beard or moustache transplant that is performed using the FUE method consists in taking hair from the back of the head, that is the area between the ears. It is to a large extent determined by the patient’s safety.
This technique works because even though skin on the face is very sensitive, this procedure does not cause pain or itching. The effectiveness and safety of this method guarantees quick and visible results which improve the patient’s appearance.
The harmony between the patient’s natural hairline and their face is of key importance to a hair transplant and determines its success. It is important for the doctor who carries out the procedure to keep appropriate proportions and not to interfere too much with the natural hairline.
You need to know that a hairline does not change all your life. When its shape is consulted with the doctor, the patient should be assured that it will be designed without any alterations. A hairline needs to be symmetrical and designed in proportion to the face shape.
A high hairline, which runs from the back of the head in the temporal area, will give you a natural look. If a hairline is too low, it will negatively influence the patient’s appearance later in life, because it is characteristic of young people. An oval hairline is also avoided. The procedure must first and foremost give natural results and have a positive impact on the patient’s appearance. This is why the goal is to achieve optimal results.
