Before you even board the plane: qualification from photos

It starts with a few photos of the whole scalp, sent to the consultant. The clinic's doctor reviews them and gives an initial view on the possible method and approximate number of grafts — a starting point, not a final number.

Day 1: arrival and first tests

VIP transfer from the airport, check-in at the hotel, then blood tests and an in-person consultation with the doctor, who confirms the plan based on what the photos couldn't fully show.

Day 2: the procedure

The procedure itself takes 3 to 8 hours, depending on the number of grafts, under local anaesthesia with light sedation. A translator is present so nothing gets lost in the explanation of what's happening and why.

After you're back: who keeps track of the dates

WhatsApp support is available around the clock while you're in Istanbul; once you're home, contact runs Monday to Friday, 9am–7pm. The clinic — and Flymedica on the organisational side — reminds you when it's time for a check-up photo, so you don't have to track the guarantee deadlines yourself.

Eligibility comes before planning a procedure

This article explains “Hair Transplant Step by Step — What the Trip to Istanbul Actually Looks Like”, but a transplant requires an individual assessment of the scalp, donor area and type of hair loss. The doctor decides whether a procedure, another treatment or postponing the decision is appropriate.

During a consultation, ask about the scope of treatment, realistic expectations, possible risks, preparation, aftercare and all costs. A price list or online photographs cannot replace medical eligibility assessment.
